Recycling is needed.

Reusing materials, such as paper and plastics, improved as raw material for a new product, are the most common examples when we talk about recycling. It is a concept that has been increasingly diffused by companies worldwide, in the wave of orientations of cost reduction, which minimizes the use of natural sources, many times not renewable, and the quantities of waste that needs final treatment. However, the need of also recovering final particles from a process of improvement of ores or waste from metallic materials has caused the development of the technology of agglomeration, also known as briquetting.

Its function is to agglomerate thin particles, using pressure, to obtain a compacted product, with shape, size, and physical-chemical metallurgic parameters, to facilitate circulation and storage, due to reduction of volume, in a more economic way.

Based on the demand of providing raw materials for the manufacture of steel and also to meet the needs of companies that generate waste carrying iron, and to give an economic and environmentally correct destination to its waste, the Renova Recycling Plant exists since 2004 with this purpose. Headquartered in Guarulhos (São Paulo), in an area of 15,000 m2 owned by the company, the facility counts on state-of-the-art equipments, capable of transforming waste such as vegetal coal, peats, plastics, dregs, and metallic filings into raw materials destined to the manufacture of steel or iron, being one of the pioneers in the commercialization of thin iron briquettes, through cold rolls, certified with the most recent certificates of quality in the market, towards environmental management processes, in order to provide our clients products and services with assurance of quality, safety, and origin.

 

Briquetting

Briquetting consists of the agglomeration of thin particles by means of pressure, allowing the obtainment of not only a compact product, but also a product with shape, size, and physical-chemical metallurgic parameters deemed suitable.

The reduction of material volume, in some cases, in addition to the technological benefits, allows thin materials to be carried and stored in a more economic way.

Briquetting Services

Aiming at better serving the needs of our clients, Renova Reciclagem also promotes briquetting manpower services to third parties.
The great benefit of this system is that steel plans and foundries, currently paying for the disposal of powder waste carrying iron and others, through briquetting, may reuse such waste in its fusion processes. This system, in addition to extinguishing costs with disposal of materials up until then “non-usable”, ensures to the generator/client an input with known chemical composition, the reuse of alloys, and the reduction of the volume of purchase of metallic materials for fusion.
For great generators/consumers, Renova Reciclagem is capable of developing and implementing briquetting plants “In Site”, according to the need of the client.

Renova Reciclagem was awarded, in November 2008, with the ISO 14001 Certificate, one of the main certificates of quality of the market focused on environmental management processes, being one of the few companies in that segment counting on such certificate.
